Our Vision

The vision of Cross Family Church is to be a local body of believers centered on Scripture.  We are committed to making disciples of Christ by taking the Good News of Jesus to our community and to the nations and by teaching God’s Word to believers.  We desire to be a church that is internally strong and externally focused.  Our prayer is that God would use CFC to further His Kingdom through our faithfulness to missions, church planting, and reaching our community with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How it all started...

Cross Family Church was launched on Sept 8th in Parker, CO with a call that reaches far beyond Denver and the Front Range. As a fourth-generation church plant, starting new churches and reaching the world with the good news that Jesus Christ saves is in our DNA. Our vision is to establish a network of churches who will reach the 77 million people in the western United States through missions and church planting. This is a grand vision that can only be accomplished when God’s people walk in faith and trust His supernatural power.

our identity

3 Fundamentals | 4 Characteristics

Our 3 Fundamentals

SCRIPTURE is our foundation

We believe the Bible is the Word of God and that through God’s Word we are given everything we need to understand His will for our individual lives and for the church. Everything we do is guided by the truth and authority of the Bible.
2 Timothy 3:16-17

UNITY in Christ is our goal

We believe that Jesus draws believers together in a local church for the purpose of sharing in His mission, learning God’s Word, and encouraging one another to pursue holiness. This takes place in a community where everyone is known, no one is forgotten, and we all see the will of God and needs of others as more important than our own desires. Ephesians 2:13–22

RECONCILIATION to God is our Mission

We believe Jesus Christ established the church to make disciples through bold proclamation of the gospel. Every Christian is called to be an ambassador pleading with others to be reconciled to God. We want every member of Cross Family to fearlessly proclaim that Jesus died for sinners and rose from the dead so all men might be reconciled to God.  2 Corinthians 5:20–21

Our Four Characteristics

We express our three fundamentals through four characteristics that define the identity of Cross Family:
preaching verse by verse, engaging in missions, discipling with intention, and caring for our members.

PREACHING verse by verse

Verse by verse preaching through books of the Bible builds our foundation on Scripture and helps us understand how to rightly apply doctrine to our lives. Our preaching ministry answers three questions in each sermon:
  • What does the Bible say?
  • Why does this matter for me today?
  • What must I do now?

ENGAGING in missions

Missions and church planting are the right expression of Jesus’s command to make disciples all over the world (Mt. 28:18-20). The goal of missions is the proclamation of the gospel so that people can respond and be reconciled to God. We fulfill this command of Jesus through:
  • Sharing the gospel in our neighborhoods and work place
  • Participating in missions at home and overseas
  • Planting new churches or revitalizing existing churches

DISCIPLING with intention

Followers of Jesus are called to a life of holiness and intimacy with Him. We have to learn holiness and how to apply it to our lives. This will not happen in isolation. It requires community and a purposeful plan to facilitate spiritual growth. This growth takes place when we are united in our pursuit of holiness and efforts to:
  •  Regularly attend corporate worship
  • Join a small group
  • Serve in at least one ministry to the church
  • Participate in evangelism, missions, church planting

CARING for our members

Unity in Christ demands we share the good and bad times of our lives. A community of believers is a place where everyone should experience the grace, mercy, and love of Jesus in every season of life. Through our small groups, we make sure everyone is known and no one is forgotten. These intimate communities offer prayer, encouragement, accountability, and support as we walk through life together. When this environment is combined with counsel from pastors our members receive the guidance and care needed for spiritual growth.
